Many players join and ask "How do I join jobs?" and "How do I make money?" Read this to answer these questions.
Basics
This is an economy server and you have money, $50 to start with. Doing some commands cost money (livewire.boards.net/index.cgi?board=tut&action=display&thread=64), buying shops, buying land, and paying other players. Ranking up requires you to have a set amount of money in your account(livewire.boards.net/index.cgi?board=announcements&action=display&thread=1).

There are many ways to make money in livewire. You can:
- Use the "Official" Jobs. These are found at /warp jobs and /warp fishing. At warp jobs, punch sugar cane and get paid automatically. At warp fishing you can fish and sell any caught fish to the shop on the boat. There are no commands that are needed to join jobs, and there are no jobs you can join/leave. The jobs plugin are only so the /warp jobs works.
- Sell to others. For players, industries, or corporations this is the key. Set up shops (for free) in any region you own. Adjust rates to beat your competition, advertise here and in game and you will be rolling in a steady supply of money in no time. A smart strategy is to set up shops in "market plots" in most towns. Towns get high exposure and have warps, so your items will sell. If you have a surplus of items and are willing to sell for any price, sell to the admin shops at /warp mall. The prices are terrible there so sell to players first if at all possible!
- Be a real estate agent. Buy houses and flip them for a profit!
- For the individual ready to become true nobility, starting a town is a way to make serious cash and prestige. Towns take a very large investment to start and may take time to get popular, but if done correctly the investment will pay off. (livewire.boards.net/index.cgi?board=tut&action=display&thread=62)
