There has to be something we can do about getting flooded with income info. Chopping sugar cane and having 300 "You have earned .15" is kinda heavy on the chat box.
Is it possible to make it an option so we can turn it off? Because that would be FANTASTIC!
ALSO! The occasional message that tells us how much we've made every 3 hours; It would be nice if there was a command that could prompt that at will. I'm always curious to know how much I made after I chop cane and it always comes hours afterwards.
These would be little improvements that would make me GREATLY appreciate this server so much more!
Thanks!

The sugar cane cropping spam is quite heavy, agreed, the ability to turn this off wold be great! However, if you want to get an idea of how much money you've earned, just use /money before and after your sugar caning I know, mental arithmatic, right? it's not so bad, do a rough calculation, it'll give you a vague idea!

Vralka, every few hours you get a notification saying how much you've earned in ~3 hours. I was just curious to make that a command because I tend to cane more than once. Besides, mundane math is work. -.-'

Id have to custom code this. Seems like a lot of work for not alot of gain. Its an idea to keep on the back burner but I have about 15 items on the list ahead of it. I could turn it off easy, if only we had more people like vralka who can do mental math

Aero Engineer Gn3sda Also, what language are mods like that coded in? if you let me have a look at the code that runs the auto messages, I could have a go at a '/earned' script

Right now we use a plugin to do the jobs, but it is not needed. I'd like to rewrite the plugin in commandhelper. Its a plugin that I have been using to create custom scripts. It is written in a language called "Mscript" and you can find the API here: wiki.sk89q.com/wiki/CommandHelper/Staged/APIIf anyone is really interested PM me and I can send you some of the things I have written. One caveat: Since tekkit is getting so far behind in MC/bukkit versions, not all of the functions have expected results...

I know that we already use a plugin for jobs on the server, but I did some investigating on what jobs plugins are on other servers and found MC Jobs to be a jobs plugin that is both valuable, and fun to play with.
It offers over 20 different jobs to cover all different parts of gameplay. It also offers in depth goals to achieve in each job that will stimulate the trade market, provide deep and interesting gameplay, and offer rewards for committing to each job. On top of all of that, if you don't like your job, MC Jobs offers you the flexibility to quit your job and pick up another at the cost of all the experience you gained at your original job.
MC Jobs is HIGHLY customizeable and can fit our server however we like it. We can add or remove jobs however we need to. The best part is that if you DON'T have a job, you DON'T gain money. Also, if you have only 1 job, you only gain money from the job you are hired to do so it doesn't make EVERYTHING farmable, it just makes income more available.
I think MC Jobs would be a GREAT way for our server to offer fun and interesting gameplay to our new players AND old players. It also would help our player retention problem. On top of all that, it gives the player something to do whenever they don't want to do regular things like just mining or building for no reason. Bored? Go do some work!
I hope you can go and investigate this plugin yourself and discover what this plugin has to offer and how it can REALLY help our current server job situation.

That came out of left field. We are currently using mcjobs but it is buggy with tekkit and crashes often.
We have custom scripting at our fingertips to do literally anything with less lag and less bugs. Any action or series of actions for any amount of money even limit by location. Just need the ideas.
